Hi everyone,

I just replaced the lamp in one of my 5R Spots because my old lamp hit 2000 hours.

The new bulb lasted about 30hrs and now has stopped working. The bulbs seem dead simple to take out / put in. Just twist the old one out counter clock wise, then twist the new one in clock wise.

Am I doing something wrong? Why did this happen? I'm hesitant to try another bulb since they're so expensive.

Thanks,

I touched only the ceramic base. Obviously touching inside the reflector or the bulb itself is bad. What about the outside case of the reflector, the metal cone above the ceramic base? Is it ok to touch?

I did reset the time clock.

I was also curious about the four screws holding in the lamp. The manual states that no calibration is necessary. I've had trouble in the past twisting out the old lamp. Loosening the screws is necessary. I've always kept track of how many turns I loosened so I could retighten appropriately. Do those screws fine tune the position of the lamp?

This is the lamp I purchased.
