Platinum Spot 5r blowing bulbs

hi Sam did you touch the lamp? sometimes residue from your fingers can do this. Also is it an original philips lamp? there are some knock offs out there.

Did you reset the time clock???

If not, the unit will automatically disconnect the lamp function.

I touched only the ceramic base. Obviously touching inside the reflector or the bulb itself is bad. What about the outside case of the reflector, the metal cone above the ceramic base? Is it ok to touch?

I was also curious about the four screws holding in the lamp. The manual states that no calibration is necessary. I've had trouble in the past twisting out the old lamp. Loosening the screws is necessary. I've always kept track of how many turns I loosened so I could retighten appropriately. Do those screws fine tune the position of the lamp?

Yes that is the correct bulb for the 5R Spot. I would contact fullcompass about the bulb blowing out so soon. If it continues to have bulb issues it might need to come in for service.

I dropped it off for repair a couple weeks ago. Thanks for the response.
