Platinum Spot 5R resets

I have a few platinum 5r spots what stopped working. Noticed the ballast board was fried, ordered a new one offline ( not from elation but same exact board ). replaced them, now they turn on, go through the motor reset. once reset they go to the position the DMX program is giving them for about 2 seconds, then they reset. This reset says "checking update" or something to that effect. And it will reset and cycle until you unplug it. If I go into the menu quickly in that 2 second window, it will stay on. but as soon as I exit, it resets

any ideas?

Greetings, most likely there is a pending trouble code. let it continue to reset and see what error is shown.

I let it go through 10 cycles of it and it didn't change. Should I let it go more? The bulb wouldn't turn on before (bad ballast) it does now right before it resets. So fixed that problem. Just not sure why the resets

yes, let it continue to cycle. there is definitely an issue. the unit is designed to reset in hopes the issue resolves, if it doesn't then an error code will eventually appear.

This is the 30th cycle, no changes lol
