I've been using Compulive for a few years now and I was wondering if there is a way to Save a customized profile. For Example, I often use Elation Design Spot 250 and Power Spot 250 Moving Heads. But I sometimes hang them upside down above a dancefloor and other times I use them right side up on tip of a stand. Unfortunately I've basically created a new show for almost each gig depending on the location of the light in reference to the dancefloor. What I would like to do instead is modify the movements (ie figure 8, circle, triangle pattern, etc..) and then save the Profile as a "Hung Upside Down DSpot250." And then I can do the same for a "right side Up DSpot 250." Any thoughts?

The fixture profiles have no bearing on how the fixture is hung on a truss or set up right. the shape movements you see on the fixture page are generated automatically by the program. so when you patch in a fixture profile you should be able to modify the area of the shapes in step 7 of 9. However this is just a general area modification. You can edit the shapes once the page is generated by using the switch editor and going into the Effects generator and re doing the shape to your liking.

On the new software Compu Show you can edit the shapes as your patching in the fixtures. and Also the new program has a palette function. Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
I understand that the fixture Profiles have no bearing on how they are hung. I've already modified the shapes like you've mentioned hundreds of times before "so that they coordinate according to their position. What I would like to do now is "re-save" the fixture file that includes the "modified shapes" in relation to how I hang the lights. Make sense? Thanks.
