Dear Elation,

I have been learning DMX from the youtube show designer dmx videos... can you please tell me what I need to connect my SD3 to my laptop and program virtual shows? what is the software they use in those tutorials?

That I believe was our compu live program using it's 3D visualizer software. You would need a dmx in only interface and go out from sd3 into the interface. You'll have to set up your lights in the 3D. It's pretty cool when you get it working.

I have a SD-2 and a laptop with windows 7 only.

Yes. you can program your sd3 using just the 3D visualizer an d the dmx in only interface and your sd3.
