SoundstormNL, you have opened up a can of worms, lol.

It really comes down to user preference and what you need your console/software to do. I myself have never really been a fan of PC based control, not fast enough for me. Having actual keys in front of you means you can trigger and do certain things faster.

Then if you want to move on into the high end, I wouldn't be caught dead without my touch screen/s. When I am busking for example, I normally use my Road Hog and set it up so I have I have a list of movements for each type of light, slow and fast, intensities for each type listed as higher priority, and strobe/s for each fixture type. I then set up a ton of cue lists for each light, with all the colors, my CMY and RGB favorites if using CMY and LED fixtures, tons of gobo looks, some static positions, prism stuff, and some effects with colors/gobos. I then literally layer stuff on top of movements and release/change them as I need to be having a few buttons to press and two touch screens with all these looks that I trigger with just the press of my finger instantly. I don't know of any PC software that can do this as easily as it can be done on my Road Hog, short of Hog PC with wings and touch screens and at that point, I could have spent a little more and gotten an actual console. The other problem is Hog PC crashes a lot and the reason I never use Hog PC except for pre-programing and patching.
