I just wanted to thank james for all his help!

I had a gig on October 4th, and he answered all my questions usually within hours of me sending out the email.

So just wanted to say a big THANKS.

Here are some videos of the show. Unfortunately they changed my entire stage design, so the lights aren't really set up the way they should be...AND I was in back of the stage, so I had no idea if things were going good since I had no view of my lights..

but none-the-less... it came out great. I created TONS of switches and just mapped them to my midi keyboard and sort of "played" the lights to the music, had over 60 switches all mapped on the keyboard

Yea were hoping on doing a tour, but I dont think I want to lug around those 6ft Colorblaze... there amazing lights dont get me wrong, but taking 12 in and out of the road cases would be murder on my back.

Thats why im looking into those other washers, plus I need a washer that uses RGB leds rather then the individual Reds, Greens, Blue so that I can have more colors displayed rather then just 3
Sweet. Big fan of the all LED show. A lot of cool things you can do with it.

As for the Colorblaze 72, great fixture but man is it cumbersome and bulky. Other major issue I have with it is the beam angle is more or less fixed, and the lenses cost a fortune to replace. Even with different lensing, the beam spread is still terrible, useful for effect or wall/drop washes.

Here was kinda what the stage was supposed to look like, this was a sloppy sketch, I cant find the original, but gives you an idea..

Yea my initial stage design was A LOT better then the one in this video, I was going to be using foam insulation covered with black fabric to cover all the gaps inbetween the lights, so it was going to be like a massive wall, with these LED bars peeking through the gaps.. Really wished it could have gone that way, but they didn't allow me since it was a festival.
Oh cool, I thought it was top/bottom. looks real good for it just being washed from the bottom, i've seen a couple of shows where they used cheaper washers and had to go form top/bottom.

Gotta love those colorblazes, but I do agree, they are HUGE. And really a burden to have to lug them around. Im wondering why no company implements washers using 1 RGB Led as opposed to 3 seperate R's G's B's, kinda like a LED screen would.
