This software has got to be the most cumbersome controller I have ever worked with!

The Chaser option is great but needs more flexibility: the abililty to switch from cut to fade, alternate direction, start from middle of goup.

You really need the ability to program one fixture at a time to do one thing at a time quickly. Forget the silly edit page with the TINY virtual faders!!!

Ok. Which exact model do you have? 1024ec? 2048fc? Also you may want to download the compu show beta and playwright with the software before you go ahead and purchase a new dongle only to find out you dont like it either.

how do i determine which version?

Up at the top of the program window where you see Controller, Page, Button< etc find the "?" and then click on about. If for example you have a 1024Ec once you click about in red letters it will tell you 1SL1024EC and the version date of the program.

oh ok. Then you have a Compu Cue Basic. you can already use our compu Show software. Your hardware is backwards compatible. Here is a link to download and install the latest Dec 13th 2010 beta of compu show. It is a very stable beta. you shouldn't worry about crashes too much.

yes. software is free and can install on any windows PC. Only limit is if you don't have the hardware you can't control any lights.
