Hey guy's I just tried this with my june 8th 2010 compu live software date and a E spot LED. I click on a color then the figure 8 pre set movement switch and it kept my color that i selected. Are you both using the latest version of compu live? I think this was fixed in a update. But I do know that when you used to click on a movement switch it would turn the color and gobo to open and white color. Please update to the June 8th 2010 release and let me know if it still changes the color on you.

Sincerely,
Jerry it is always a good idea to make a copy if your latest saved ssh file in case something goes wring when installing a new update. So yes make a copy but no nothing should change.
Also I'm not sure how new this is but if anyone uses the XY grid for positioning you can now right click the red arrow and choose to lock the pan or tilt to help you get better positioning. But remember to unlock both when your done making your position. Sincerely,
Downloaded June 8, 2010 and it still does the same thing. I have a scene with figure 8, red and blue, I clik on a new program,(not sure of the terminalogy), say circle, it changes the red, blue to white. Am I doing something wrong.

I thought you said it would just change the pattern and keep the colors the same? The xy will lock like you spoke of, but the color changes to White? Can you help
Jerry which new program are you selecting? Create a new scene? if your selecting create a new scene you MUST select "As you seen now" and Also "include the activated Switches" in order for your colors to carry into the scene programming window. Also you are not double clicking on anything correct? Compu live is mainly single clicks. double clicking will turn switches of in some cases.
Sincerely,
Jingles, exactly where to I find the edit so I can clik on the "include the activated Switches"

I went to scene and found edit but did not see any activated switches to check or clik. Can you explain in simple terms where and how do I do this to keep my colors the same when I clik on a new pattern. And will the color show up in the 3d after i clik on a new pattern like my orginal pattern and color?
Jerry, you can ONLY select as you see now when your FIRST create the scene using the create a new scene button. When you hit create a new scene this window will appear. Look at the items circled in red.

as far as patterns goes here is how it works on mine so it should be the same for you.
For example, If I select a color from my color wheel and then hit the figure 8 or circle pre set movement switch the color does NOT get over ridden by the program anymore. The color you selected before you hit the movement switch of your choice should stay that same color when you hit the switch. Make sense?

You don't have to redo every scene. Just edit them so that way the color is where you want it to be. no once the scene is created there is no point in going back when you can simply edit it.

Now I am confused, this was the quote you said earlier when I asked do I have do go back and re install all my scenes. Now I read I must redo the scenes and clik the "include the activated Switches"
No because I said "BEFORE" you create the scene. As in before you generate the yellow button on your fixture page. Once the yellow button appears on your fixture page as a scene button the scene is generated. to select the as you see now and include all activated switches you must create a new scene. You can go into your scenes and edit the colors as you wish without much trouble. you only have two vizi spot LED's correct?

Not following that statement. I don't want to edit colors on my scenes. I just want the same colors I currently have on each scene when I select a new pattern. I guess for what I have just read, that I will have to re do each scene and "include the activated Switches" Not tonight, gotta leave for another corporate gig with white popping up each time a pattern change happens.
Jingles, just created one new scene and followed your instructions. Blue circle with a star, as you see it not checked, inclued activated switches checked. Went to another pattern and it changed my color to white in the 3D visulizer. What did I do wrong. Must the lights be hooked up to see the color stay the same on a pattern change?????
