Please remember that I'm a beginner when answering my question. What is the difference between the Master Page and the Fixture Page? What would I use the Master Page for?

Also, I found in a post by Matchless1 "Using Cycles for Song Cues" that Brian decided to use Pages for each song. I like that idea but he had a couple of questions at the end that doesn't show the answer. They are:

1. I can copy Scenes and Switches from the Master page to each Song page by using the "Duplicate" function. This greatly reduces the time it takes to build each song. What's strange though is that when using this command ("Duplicate") for Cycles, it creates the duplicate in the Master page, even when I select the applicable Song page. Does anyone know why I cannot duplicate a Cycle FROM the Master page TO another page?

2. Is there any way to use a keyboard key to advance to the next Scene in a Page? I tried using PAGE DOWN and the Arrow keys, but neither of those work. Maybe there is a way to assign a key to this function. Any ideas?

MD once again i apologize for the delay.
The difference between a fixture page and a master page is this: fixture page is the page that allows you to only control those assigned fixtures within that page. The master page lets you control all the channels you have assigned in your compu set up. so it lets you use all the channels at once rather than going from page to page creating a bunch of scenes when you could just as easily create one scene with ALL your fixtures. make sense?
1) I am not sure about ill have to get back to you on that one.
2) Yes. If you click on the scene you wish to assign a keyboard trigger key too you simply hold down "ctrl" Plus whatever the key you want assigned to that scene. you will be able to tell if it work cause that key will be blue in the bottom right hand corner of that scene button. (Note: When assigning the key if you press it twice it assigns the trigger as a flash trigger. Meaning if you press that key the scene will only play as long as you hold down that button.
Hope all this makes sense and helps you out. If not please feel free to post any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Jingles,
It's been over a month since I originally asked question #1. I really would like to know why the "Duplicate" function does not work properly with Cycles. Is this a program bug? Why can't we duplicate Cycles to other pages?

As far as question #2, you may have satisfied Mike, but what I'm looking for is a way to advance to the next scene in the page. Your method involves assigning a unique hot key to each scene. What I want is one common key (like an arrow key, maybe) that simply selects the next sequential scene in that page. Does that make sense?

Thanks,
Brian
Ok Brian Sorry about the long wait.
1) You cannot copy cycles in the software. it just doesn't allow for that feature at this time. and I don't know if it will be added in the next release or not. And its not a software bug.
2) Try recording a cycle and then instead of having it play at a certain time select the time for "GO" and then use the page up or down buttons to advance in the cycle. I'm not sure how to assign a hot key to the up and down buttons so ill check on that.
Sincerely,
Jingles,
Thanks for the reply.

1. I have actually had success with copying (really, "Duplicating") Cycles within a given page. It seems what the software does not allow is duplicating or copying Cycles from one page to another. Just to clarify for others out there.

2. I am familiar with the "GO" function within a Cycle...I am currently using this in some of my cycles. This is not what I am looking for though. I have stated several different ways the feature I am looking for, so at this point, I have to assume it is just not possible with the current software version.

Hopefully, both of these features can be added to the next update.

Thanks again,
Brian
