Using 1024 compu ware, I have 6 scenes.I have only used it for back to back proms so I have had no time to test this.

My question is: go to page, settings, channels and then to x/y. Do I have to set the x/y for both of my lights in each scene. The first prom I just set the first scene and the others did not follow the circle I had used to set the lights to the dance floor.

Must I go to each scene and adjust each light in each scene to the circle I want them to shine on the dance floor. I hope I am describing this so you know what I want.

I think I know what you are asking. There are a couple of things going on that you need to be aware.

Depending on the movement you select, you may have both lights doing the same thing - or - you may have all the lights doing the same thing, but out of phase relative to each other. I don't recall if the "circle" that is preprogrammed is in phase (or not). If this is the question, you can create a circle(s) that are in or out of phase in the effects manager. Just make a new switch in the page that you want to creat in and right click on the X-Y and start the effects manager. Easy as pie.

If that is NOT the question, than I think what you are asking is can you "limit" where the lights shine on the dance floor....so they mainly stay on the floor and not scan/bounce all over the room. That is easy to fix as well. i had a prom I did last night with some studio Clors and had them sitting on top of 10' truss pointing straight up at the ceiling. I wanted to use the preprogrammed buttons for speed of programming. I had to limit the x-y movement to the dance floor. Here's how; Slect the switch that you want to edit and open it in the editor. Click on Easy Time Editor in the top bar and you will see the shape of your circle. Right click on the white box with your circle in it and open the shape properties. There will be a blue box that is scalable. Just resize that box to "fit" your dance floor. Hit the play button in that window and you can test the movement. Again easy as pie.

I like to also change the time to 5 or 20 secs (while I'm in that window) to slow down the scanning speed for the Opening of the doors starting the party. I like a SLOW scan with rotating gobos of all heads when the doors open until everyone is in and situated. Don't forget to make a copy of the first look before you modify it for a new look. You just may want the original back for later in the night!

Hope that helps.
