I think I understand what you are saying.

When I create a switch. On the master page, I do not select anything other than "Include the manual settings coming from the channel-page visualization". I have found that allows me to keep the current scene, but to just change specific things. Color for example.

When I link to Easy Step, the program resets all my lights to their initial setting. Is there a way to avoid this? Or should I use another method to create switches?
Butters, you need to add another step into that switch. Step 1 should have easystep enabled on the color channel you wish to change, but the color itself should be at 0 with no hold or fade time. On step 2 bring the color up the level you want with no hold time and whatever fade time you want.

Keep in mind when one switch is released for another switch, it will instantly kill any colors that are not being used with no fade. You can fudge this some by changing the switch priority under switch settings.
