Has been quite some time since I have posted on this forum as I have not had any issues with the software and hardware for what I use it for.
I currently run Compu Live on a MAC using VMWare Fusion which is running Windows XP. As I am upgrading my Mac OS and in turn need to upgrade the VMWare Fusion software and I would like to also upgrade from Windows XP to either Windows 7 or Windows 8 as the only reason I have stayed on XP is for the Compu Live software.
The issue I have it that on the product info for the Compu Live software (http://www.elationlighting.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ItemNumber=1396) it states that it can only run in Windows XP or Vista and to be honest it doesn't look like that page has changed since I originally purchased the software years ago.
However when reading through some forum posts it seems to suggest people are running it on Windows 8 without any problem. Could someone confirm that this is possible, especially if its compatible with Windows 7. I would assume that it would be the same for XP in that it would need to be the 32-bit version?
Also is the latest version the ela_2006.zip file, as I seem to recall downloading the same file when I first purchased the hardware back in 2010, however on the forum (http://forums.elationlighting.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2311094875/m/833008058001) it suggests that there is a Jan 2013 version but the file is not available anymore.
Sorry for all the questions and confusion guys, just would like to get an idea of if I can upgrade as the information is a bit conflicting!
FYI I have the Compu Live software with the 2048FC hardware.
