Can't get 260 to link to computer

Hi I need help linking my Magic260 to my computer to load new profiles - I have installed the software and drivers but when I attempt to transfer the fixture files it tells me there is no USB device connected or devise error

Colin,
Are you attempting to load these files using the Elaiton U-link Cable? It will not work with any standard USB cable.

Yes - when I plug the cable into my comuter it recignizes it loaded the software and drivers properly but when I plug the other end into my controller and try to downlaod the profiles you sent me it wont recognize the controller
