I purchased Compu 1024EC and installed Compu Live (03-21-2008) on a Compaq Laptop running Vista Home Premium (32 bit). On My first attempt, I installed the demo pages and started in beginner mode as the manual suggests. When I attempted to add my own Elation Cyber Pak Dimmer the software stopped responding. I was following the instructions for adding your own fixtures using the scan library. The fixture test in step 3 worked and I got through to the last step. When I clicked on the Finish button, the hour glass came up but after several minutes there was still no change. Clicking in the window again, the system indicated that Compu Live was not responding. Swapping out the dimmer and trying to add a Chauvet Colorsplash 200B resulted in the same not responding issue. I did an uninstall and reinstalled the software in expert mode without the demo pages. I was shocked to find that the demos still showed when I started the software. I deleted all the demo pages using the delete function in the software and then attempted to add my own fixture again. I still got the same result. When clicking the Finish button on the last step of the scan library wizard the software hangs and stops responding. Any ideas?
