magic 260 library editor

Can someone tell me why the magic 260 does not come with at least a link for instructions to edit and upload your own light fixtures? I realize Elation will do it for you but wouldn't it be money well spent for elation not to have to spend the time writing profiles for all of it's magic 260 customers?
