I was recently forced to re-format my desktop computer and re-install Compu Live. Meanwhile I have a laptop with the exact same Compu Live version that contains my custom show file and stage file. The problem is that when I re-installed to the desktop and copied over my show and stage files (which both open up fine), all of my MIDI settings and commands that were previously tied to my Behringer BCF2000 controller are gone. The MIDI settings on the laptop are still there, as they should be.
I’ve tried saving the settings on my laptop by right clicking the Behringer window title bar and clicking “Save”. I renamed it “Brian”. Now, when I right click the title bar on the Behringer window (on the laptop), I see the same list of standard files plus a file called “Brian”. So far so good. Then I went to C:\Program Files\Compu Live\Common\Controller, and found the file: Brian.csl. Then I copied that file to the same folder on my desktop. I closed Compu Live on the desktop, re-opened Compu Live, then opened the MIDI controller window. I right clicked the Behringer window title bar again, but it only shows the stock file names (Behringer BCF2000 big, Behringer BCF2000 big (txt), etc.), and the file “Brian” is not listed, and all of my controller settings are still missing (blank).
So, the question is, what else should I be doing to re-capture all of my old MIDI settings to this new install? Is there another file hidden somewhere that I need to be copying?
Thanks,
Brian
