newbie par question

No one? Really? I can't be the only one that would like to see dimmers for traditional par cans.

Music guy, sorry for the delay. It was a busy day.
you can create switches that will control individual dimmer channels. or simply create one large profile with all the dimmers you want to use and that will give you multiple dimmer faders for each channel.
If you want me to build a profile for you let me know and I can do so. also let me know how many dimmer channels.

I have to say that this is the absolutely LEAST intuitive software I have ever used and in my real jobs I've used everything from advanced CAD to advanced accounting and inventory control software.

Anyway..........as the saying goes "give a man a fish and you'll feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you'll feed him for life." So, I would rather not have you create a patch and send it to me. I would rather have a step by step explanation of how to do it.

I've created a switch and even got it to have a slider on it. But for the life of me I can't find how to assign that switch to one channel of DMX. And of course, there is NOTHING in the manual about how to do this.

Some help please and thanks in advance.

I should also add that I don't mean to come accross as a grumpy old man........even though I am one.

I do appreciate your time, Jingles. If you don't have time to work on a step by step procedure I understand. As an alternative I would take a profile page with 8 PAR56's, each with a switch thats a dimmer slider.

I apologize, I just really do not have the time today for a tutorial on the scan library as there are so many facets to it's operation and use.... Appreciate it. However if you want to see about "reverse engineering" the profile I am sending you let me know and I can tell you where to find the profile creator.

Thanks, Jingles. I got it loaded and it's exactly what I was looking for. Someday I'll figure out how to do it myself, until then, this does the trick perfectly!

It literally took me 30 seconds to build the profile and then another minute to put the file in place and then load it into the program. It's Easy. you'll get it when you put your mind to it.

I don't doubt that it's easy. What I doubt is that the instructions on how to do it are clear and easy to find in the manual that accomanies the software. If it is there I would be grateful if you would point it out.

My comment on the software not being very intuitive still stands. That said, you provide great and quick support and I thank you again.

Found a catch and if there isn't a fix for this it's not biggie. If there is a fix let me know.

In Easy View it only shows up as one can.
