I'm a weekend warrior, primarily doing PA setups for dj's, but I also have a few mirror scans which I'm looking to upgrade from. Based on the club/bar sizes I typically run into, the output of the Platinum 5R is a bit much. The DS 250 would be more appropriate, but I love the size, weight, and motor repsonse specs of the PS.
Can these things be toned down with ND filters? Well, I know they *could*, but is it accepted practice? And if so, is there a proper way to do it other than jiggy-rigging a gel over the front lens?
fwiw, there are occasionally gigs in which I could use its full lux output.
Thanks,
Dan
