Scene Transition

What am I forgetting to do to make my scenes transition smoothly instead of jerking from one to the other? I've used the program before but I'm a little rusty and seem to have forgotten a very key thing.

I am using the program that is on a PC, there is no controller or a board, it's all on the computer.
