When I power off my SD3 I loose everything, fixtures, scenes, conventional dimmers, everything. Does it have an internal battery that needs to be replaced. If so how do you get to it?
Thanks Ken... Been fighting this problem off an on for the last year or so, but in the past once I re-programmed it held on to the info for several months before loosing it again. Now everytime I power down its goes blank.
Is battery a safe assumption? Unit is probably more than 5 years old.
What type of battery I need for a replacement, want to get it before I take the unit apart to replace.
It's CR2032. If you haven't opened the SD3 before, there are 2 screws on the bottom that come off and then the top hinges open, there is a stick to prop it up along the side.
Thanks Ken. Sounds pretty straight forward I will call if we have issues.
On the note of CF cards and r232 cables. I think our unit is running v1.12 or 1.13. I have had no luck with updating direct from the laptop and it will not recognize a 2gb San Disk card. What is the largest card it will recognize in v1.12 or 1.13,and will it hold the update file for the current 1.15 version.
Great question Lee71. I was having the same trouble and couldn't figure it out until I came here. As soon as I am back in the shop I will open her up and get a fresh battery in there! Also, great forum Elation, thanks for having a section just for the ShowDesigners as well!
