575E not responding to DMX

I have a pair of Design Spot 575E fixtures that no longer respond to DMX. They are first in line in the DMX chain, and all other fixtures downline work. I can control the fixture using the control panel, but not via a DMX signal. Any ideas?

are the displays blinking on and off? if so, the dmx driver chips might be burnt out. they will still pass the signal but wont receive it.
