ETC Ion and Design spot 250 question.

I have been trying to get my two Design spots to be triggered by sound and have had no luck so far. I have turned dmx channel 16 for the lights all the way up, that is where the manual says to put it for it to be triggered by sound, and they seem not to be triggered by sound when there is sound in the room.

Any ideas?

Hi msogre and welcome to the forums.

I am not quite sure, but is there a mic adjustment on the fixtures themselves? Maybe the mics are just turned down all the way. Only other thing I can think of after that is the mics are possibly faulty if the fixtures are patched and functioning correctly otherwise. Might also be a personality issue as well.

Hi msogre,

The feature is there, however you need a good amount of bass to get them moving.
You can even try tapping on the light itself and see if it moves by tapping it.

The Good amount of bass was the problem I had. The room I have them in, we have no bass speaker and only ones for High and Mid range really. So I tweaked the bass level and turned the sound almost to the max of my speakers and they moved. I also turned the sensitivity of the Design spots up too.
