So I am working in a new venue with an EOS ETC console, but nothing is patched on the board. I have all the addresses to the lights that have bulbs in them. The ip address for the Network is 10.101.146.1
I plug in my CompuShowSD in usb to get the software running and plug into my computer Ethernet port to the wall. Do I then go into TCP/IP settings and then change my ip address to something? Where do I go from here to get DMX signal to my network?
This is my first experience with dmx via eithernet, let me know if what I think I am trying to do is not possible.

Well Compu live art net starts in the 2xx.xxx...
range. The IP address seems incorrect to me.
I am not sure what the EOS console does or does not do. But to do art net on the compu show program you need to have a Art net to DMX converter like the acclaim X net 8. you then take a ethernet cable from the computers ethernet port and run it to the converter like the X net 8 and then change the computers IP address to something like 200.XXX.X.XX something like that it just has to be in the 200 range. Also there are different settings that need to be changed like default mask and gateway. I can't remember off the top of my head now.
once you have the computers ethernet cord hooked up to the converter like the X-net 8 you have to go into compu live's starting parameters and set up the output hardware to be sent over Artnet in the program. and match the Ip address and the rest of the network info that you just used to set up communication between the computer and the converter. Make sense?
