I am looking to buy the 5R pro because of its hybrid wash feature. It seems this will work really well for my application. My question is wether the frost and a gobo can be used simultaneously?

Yes, the frost and gobos are completly seperate parts. Both with independent DMX control
They can but the frost filter will completely cover the gobo you have in. The gobo will do nothing more than color and/or take intensity away from the light.
This is not to say you could do a neat effect with the gobo in and in focus with the frost filter in and snap the frost out to have a sharp gobo pop up quickly. The frost filter could also be used to mask gobo changes slightly.

Amazing fixtures. I become a crazy about this fixture and love it is come with a cmy wireless. This is really a wonderful idea. The mask gobo is really amazing. I want to ask you that how can we differentiate gobo and frost from each other?
