Preset patterns

When I have a preset pattern with a gobo and color and I switch to a different preset pattern the color goes to white and the gobo goes to the solid beam. This is with every fixture I have in my system. How do I keep the same color and gobo but be able to switch between patterns without having to create new switches or buttons for every pattern?

This is mainly a profile issue, you can simply go into each of the preset switches for patterns and turn OFF the color and gobo channels and any others you don't want affected by the switch.
Do you know how to do this?

Sure, first hold CTRL and left click any of the orange preset switches for the shapes or chaser etc,
Then in the editor go to the channels tab or window, and right click above the fader for the channels (square area) and select off, do this for any channel you do NOT want affected by using the switch.

Repeat this for each switch you need to modify.
