Sacn Node reversal problems

So I have a sacn network setup with 10 nodes running. It is a combination of Elation Enode2, Chauvet Dmx-an 2, and ETC Net3 Gateway. We are using a Vista L5 running sacn with no problems.....until we try to use a node backwards to feed into a universe. Some shows come into our space and just want to use an analog DMX for universe 1 (house lights mainly). When we set up a node to work backwards we get the other nodes pulsing (only the ones on universe 1). If we set a node up backwards on any of the other 8 universes, everything works perfectly. I am at my wits end trying to figure this out, HELP!!
