Trio DMX Patch Question

Imagine I have 4 LED Fixtures with 5 channels each

#1 Mode Value 0 = DMX Driven, Value 255 Sound to light
#2-4 R G B
#5 Intensity

and giving them adresses 1, 37, 73, 109. Once I insert them into the desk as Fixture #1-4 I can select them each and more than one, make a groups and so on. once I use RGB faders I can adjust color.

What does DMX patch mean when I will - for example - patch channel 1, 37, 73, 109 to ONE Fader. Will I lose the ability to independently adjust the intensity of this channel for each fixture? Will the "Patch" work all over the TRIO or only in one ore more Modes (MH, LED, SUB)?
