Does anybody know why the Martin mac 250 seems much brighter than the Elation Design Spot 250? I've used them both with new bulbs and the mac 250 beats it. Is it the glass used?

which mac 250 do you have ? I have had the DP250
side by side with 250 entur and they were about the same at 30'throw .The design spot 250 has more features then any model of the mac250's inturn give's it a longer light path to go thru
and it may loss some light output do to this ?
But the Designspot 250 is a little faster More bang for the $$$$$

Nateransell, i am with you on this one... mac 250s seem to be noticeably brighter than the DS250. idk why but, it makes me so sad

The Mac 250 has 5000lumens at 30 feet where the DS250 has 7950lumens. This, is however, at differnt color temp lamps. In effect the lumens doesnt matter, there is a difference in the output...however, due to the DS250 having a higher color temp, it apears to be "darker" when using colors. Another thing that can effect it is if the optics are dirty... Depending on the maintenence of the fixtures, one could simply be clean...if it is dirty, you will see whe white being a dimmer white with a hint of yellow in it....
