In This forum you can discuss tips, tricks, and troubleshooting for Elation's Next Generation Compu Live software, "Compu Show".

I finally made the switch from compu live to compu show. I purchased compu show SD and downloaded the December 2012 software. I uninstalled compu live from my 32 bit machine and installed compu show. Everything seems to be okay. It did a nice job of importing my compu live show. The only problem I see is that every time I quit the program, I get a windows error stating "Computerized Ligthing Controller has stopped working", "Windows is checking for a solution". After searching for a while, it comes up with the message "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". If I cancel before windows says it will close the program, compu show won't start again without my disconnecting the dmx box and reconnecting. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Installed Compu Show on a second 32 bit vista machine and I have the same issue. A windows error box pops up on exit stating "Computerized Lighting Controller has stopped working". Compu Show indicates that it is writing fixture patches, the dongle goes to off, then the windows error occurs. I watched in the windows task manager. Compu Show is the only process running on the machine. When I exit, the process never ends. It doesn't go away until I get the message that Windows will close the program. It sure looks like a bug to me. Is anyone else having a problem with 32 bit vista?
