Ok, I could use some help with this. I'm hoping to find a better way to organize cues. Here's the challenge: I write cues for various songs that the band is going to play. As they introduce new songs, I introduce new cues, but pretty soon, I've got too many cues occupying the master, and things get messy. Not to mention, I don't need them all because they don't do every song I've got cues for in every set.
So alas, one day I discovered that I could save my master page as a different name, then import it back in again as a new page. Now I'm saved, I remove all the pages from the last show, and only import back in the ones I need for the day. When compu draws the "window" for each page, I move them around so their all in the same pane, and I jump between tabs for different songs. This creates two delimas:
1 - In order to move from one group of cues (I believe I am properly referring to it as a page) I have to initialize the first page before moving to the first cue of the second page, usually causing everyone to sit in the dark for a moment.
2 - I can't add cues to a page after I've imported it again. At least I don't think I can. For a lot of features on my lights, some of their properties won't show up in the "as you see it now" box when I try to create a new scene on the imported pages. It does fine for the master, but not the imported pages.
Am I going about organizing these all wrong, or am I on the right track, just in need of a little modification. Or is this as good as it gets? If thats the case, is there an easier way to ease the transition from one page to the next?
