Ordered some of these and went on show right away with them. Right out of the gate, they were ran for 24 hours straight with lamp struck, given about an 8 hour break, then another 12 hours straight. No hic ups what-so-ever.

I am also extremely impressed with the build quality. The covers are all plastic, but not the plastic I am use to. They are instead a high quality plastic that has a soft, rubberized touch to it. I haven't seen the likes of High End, Vari-Lite, and/or Martin use a material of this quality on the outsides of their fixtures. This material also adds to scratch resistance because I had to rip one apart after the show was over.

When I went to put them away after the show, the one had something lose in it. So I pulled the covers off and was pleasantly surprised to find all the screws for the covers are quarter turn spring loaded. Then the cover safeties were they are attached have a gap to remove them without un-screwing and/or disconnecting anything else. This makes it easy to remove them, but if they are up in the air, they won't fall off.

After removing the covers, there was nothing visibly loose, and the noise was coming from the back of the fixture, by the lamp housing. So my next step is to pop out the lamp, and again, it is attached in such a way that the lamp housing won't fall out and injury/hurt someone if working with it in the air and/or break its self from carelessly being dropped and held in place with quarter turn, spring loaded screws. Pull it out an this is what I see:

One of the glass gobos popped out and somehow made it all the way to the back of the fixture, behind everything. The apparatus it is stuck in is actually the CMY system. I was again pleasantly surprised to find it was not flags, but instead glass filters that add CMY gradually. Since the fixture is completely modular, I simply had to disconnect the power to the CMY section, loosen to screws, and it pulled right out. Then out popped the gobo.

All and all, extremely impressed with the fixture, be it endurance, build quality, easy to get into and pull apart, and of course, features for the price. I have to say I love the frost filter the most though I think. Used two lights to wash a about a 30' wide by 20' high cyc from the ground and worked perfectly.

John, email sent. And more then welcome for the input. Whenever I get something new, I like to let others know my first impressions on the gear in question. Helps others if they have any questions or what not.

Jingles, it has happened to me a few times before. When you don't get the spring in quite right, they pop out. Not a big deal. Nothing broken, no harm done.
