Just got Emulation software a week ago and hooked it into my lighting system.

Works fine with all of my Par LEDs but when I hooked it into my DJ Scan 250 (scanner) they acted like they were jumping inside of each of the 4 channels.

I checked them by hooking them into a regular board and they performed correctly (same cable).

I checked the DMX values inside of Emulation to see what values it was sending on each channel and they were not jumping.

I checked the DMX chart of the DJ Scan 250 and it was put into the builder correctly.

I tried building my own using custom DMX values and the same thing happened.

The DJ Scan 250s are an older light so my question is: has DMX protocol changed in the last several years?

Software is up to date.

Yes it is... state of the art!

I need to upgrade, but I certainly don't want to upgrade to several $1K moving heads that have the same problem.

I'm thinking it might just be USB powered signal that is giving the problem (guess). I am going to also put a wireless device between the two tonight and that might give a different "level" of signal that could correct the problem as well.

Didn't get a chance to troubleshoot last night as I had to load up for a show. Obviously these lights will not be making the trip. If I can sort it out, maybe the next one.

There is another post of light working on their own that is similar to mine. This may remain a mystery but I can't say I'm disappointed in any way with this software.
