It would be awesome if the playbacks could have a release time. As, releasing a looped chase on a playback is so sudden it looks choppy.

Lightingguy this has actually been in the software since V1.03. Always check our web page for updates. I think we posted one recently. Our latest build for mac is V1.03build 15. For PC we are at V1.03 build 14. If you need to know how to do this please let me know.

Yeah they have added a release time per playback in the new release. I love the idea of a position palette. That would be really nice to have. Especially if you are trying to have the same cuelists translate in different rooms.

Or even to help using a moving head for a followspot.. Or even speed up Programming. I have not download the new update,but Im going to do that right after I'm done here....

The midi timecode could realy help me with creating light shows . Using SFX...Be sure that you can fire cues from every playback in the software plz..

Just a heads up that I've already found two bugs in the new update.

Bug 1 - the swap button doesn't work in the play menu

Bug 2 - the cuelists are having a hard time "remembering" the playback speed. Sometimes when you close the program and reopen it again, the playback speed just goes to a default 50%

Yes this should be possible. go to options click on disk then save as. Then name your show file and then you should be able to use that show file on any computer with emulation preferably running the same build version. Hope this helps.

Is it possible to use an ipod Touch instead of an Iphone for the riggers remote?

Also, can it be accessed using safari, or do I have to download something?

Hey. It works with ANY web browser on pretty much any mobile device. The reason we have iPhone is because the touch interface is better suited for hitting the buttons. You can even launch it in your computers web browser. So yes you iPod touch will be just fine.

i have not bought the software yet, so I'm using the demo software right now, so Could it be my router blocking that port? Or, does the
feature only workwith the Full non demo version?

Nope it should work. The only difference with "demo" mode is there is no USB interface detected. Make sure you type the URL exactly. And include the ":8888" port number. I think it is 8888. I'm away from my pc now. Replying with my iPhone. Double check your URL and port number. If you need too try a different port number.

So I tried it out on ( the computer that runing is the software) Internet explorer, and it worked! But, It didn't work after I pressed one button. its like it froze up.

I couldn't get it to work on my iPod touch. On Safari, What Settings do I need to have? Also, could it be my router blocking port 8888?

you all should develope a Riger's remote app in the App Store. include an auto connect feature

Try changing the port to 8080. A dedicated riggers remote from the app store would be great. Our developers are really busy doing a lot of other things. but I will mention it.

This is what one of our developers had to say about your recent posts.
"When he uses his internet explorer to browse to the Emulation iPhone Remote he should use the loopback address of the computer http://127.0.0.1:8888 this might fix the freeze.

The reason that he cannot connect with his iPod Touch can be caused by the computers Firewall who might block this port.

Please advise him to turn off his firewall and give it a try.

The midi time code feature will not be implemented in Emulation, but it is possible to use a third party software for this. Such as http://figure53.com/qlab/ (Mac) or http://www.ableton.com/

So at this point Emulation Supports MSC??(Midi Show control)

I thought the only type of Midi emulation would take would be the Midi beat clock....

Also, What is the max amount of Cues a Cuelist can have?

1. Position Palettes

2. Save As feature for cross platform compatibility. (ie. WholeHog3 file, GrandMA file, etc. that can be opened on full size boards.) There are alot of Production Companies that still prefer their own gear be used while I could be preprogramming a show on this software and then transfer over. This option would make your software more sought after by LDs everywhere.
