How to Update your software for dummies...

Hello,

I need to know how to update my software....

As computers just arn't my thing, Thats why I'm an LD...

Do I just save the Zip File to my computer, and Run the Installation?

I had a Shortcut to Emulation on my Desktop, and AFTER I downloaded the software, I clicked on it and It took me back to the older version of Emulation, If I updated then why did the older Build initiate?

ilovelighting, Welcome to the forums.
All you need to do is save the zip file to your desktop and then open the zip file then drag and drop the .exe file to the desktop then launch the installer. Once it is done you can delete the old desktop icon and replace it with the new desktop icon by going to your start menu finding the Elation folder and find the Emulation icon and right click it and select send to desktop (Create shortcut).

The reason the old icon stays is in case there is a problem with the new version the user can go back to the previous version. In fact if you look in your program files in the elation>emulation folder you will find a folder for each build and version of Emulation. Hope this helps.
