I’m looking for a controller (like the American DJ Scene Setter- perhaps that is the one I need) that will allow me to control the following:

1. Standard tungsten Par 64 (as a ‘spot’)
2. 3 ADJ Flat Par LED TRI18
3. 4 pinlights (which happen to be LED also, but they are not DMX controllable… they work just like the tungsten lights)

The catch is the controller has to be able accept MIDI… I realize there will be limitations in the MIDI to DMX translation.

I’m hoping that I can set RGB color washes with the TRI18, perhaps using scenes… maybe some chases and strobe effects, too.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance folks.

I have Successfully Been able to record Scenes into Apple Logic Pretty easily by Daisy-chaining My SD2 to a Midi to USB Box.

I have not figured out how to write Midi Information from apple Logic to the SD2 but I can easily record and edit the Midi Information such as scene changes and scene Quantization using Time Code.

Similar to the "Scene Master" feature;

Is it possible to layer, and or record Fixture Fader Moves?

I have a very theatric show coming up and this seems to be my best bet to get this show fully automated with the given fixtures I have been given and very specific instructions.

Thanks in advance.
I would like to replace the LEDs with two flexible 12V
Led tube manufacturer . This should not be a problem, however I have a specific setup I am looking to achieve:

The first outdoor led strip lights (white LEDs for example) will be steady (continuously) lit. However, as the audio signal comes through, the greater the signal from the audio cable gets, the dimmer the white strip will get and the brighter the second flexible led strip light (red for example) will become.
Is there any chance at all of the Show Designer 2 being updated to respond to MIDI note events for choosing scenes/chases/shows, etc?

If there's any chance of this, please let me know because I'd like to offer some feedback of how I'd like this to work. I think the way it's done currently (requiring you to record the MIDI output from the unit directly then copy/paste those recorded messages into the correct point of the sequence) is clumsy and may not be supported by all sequencers (am I wrong?).

I think using basic MIDI bank and program changes to access different scenes/songs would be significantly more intuitive and easier to program into my synth. Just my two cents. Smiler
