Hi everybody!

I'n new to this forum. I just bought the Emulation software and I am trying to make it work with some Lightmaxx fixtures. I've got the Platinum series Tri-Led (9x9W) and the Platinum series Quad LED (9x8W).
The first thing I've learned is that the program does not support all fixtures. Do you have support for these lamps?
Thanx in advance.
cheers, Johan

Oke, I posted the XML file in the right place.
The fixtures appear in the list so everything is fine.
But both fixtures don't seem to respond properly.

The Tri-LED fixture can only do white (with main dimmer). When I change the color mix bars, nothing happens. Also when I touch the strobe bar, I can't seem to turn it off again. When set to zero, the fixture still does a very slow strobe.

The Quad LED fixture only does Red, and no dimming at all, just on and off. Strobe works but has the same problem as the Tri-LED. It still does a very slow strobe even when the bar is set to zero.

I'm hoping you can help me further.
Thanx!
Okay, I'm a little bit further.

The Quad LED does seem to work properly when I set the DMX channels of both the program and the fixture to for example 3. However, when I touch the strobe, everything goes wrong again and I get the same as before. Also setting all the faders to zero or even hit the 'clear' button twice, doesn't solve it. I must remove the fixtures from the patch list and restart Emulation to get it right again. And that doesn't even work all the times.
The Tri LED has the same problems as before, only white and when I touch the strobe, I can't turn it off.
Hi Johan, The profiles still look good to me. I can also confirm that for some reason the strobe channels are not going down to 0 value. Might be a bug. One thing I could do is move the strobe channel to a custom fader that way it doesn't really attach to a certain function. The program just thinks it is a generic fader. If you want me to try that let me know and I will modify the profiles for you no problem.
you said the Quad works better now that you have the fixture itself addressed to start at channel 3 and the profile in the program set to channel 3 aswell? What was it on before?
The TRI LED has RGB faders for color mixing just fine on mine. Let me clarify that the profiles i made are labeled "Quad LED" and "Tri LED" in the lightmaxx list.
sorry you are having so much trouble, these are simple profiles and usually just work. Smiler
Sincerely,
Hi James,

I used the right profiles so that is not the problem.
The DMX channel for the first fixture was '1' before. When I set it to '3' for both the fixture and the program, so actually no change at all, it worked almost fine. But now whatever channel I set it to, I can't seem to make it work, so we're back where we were. This problem consists with all the fixtures which let me to believe it is a bug of some sort in the program.
The strobe problem is also still there so if you have a solution I'm all ears. As long I still can use the strobe function.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I really need it to work.

Thanx for the help, cheers, Johan

Hi James,

I'm sorry, but the new XML file didn't change anything. Even the strobe problem still exists.
I'm not sure what the problem would be if all the DMX channels are lined up in the right way. The fixtures just don't 'listen'.

I think I'm better of using a hardware controller unfortunately.

Thanx for all your effort.

Cheers, Johan
