I'm new to dmx systems, I lost my fixture profile memory on my Elation magic 260.
Please help on how to re-load fixture file from Elations web site using laptop and u-link cable.

do you have the software disc? Or you can download it from the product page. Let me know if you need further help. I haven't done it for a while but i can try.

Sorry for the late reply, but I had to work all weekend. I have both, the original disk that was included with the unit, and also I downloaded the same program from Elations website(U-link software v 1.09) I have read the manual on how to upload the fixture profile but for some reason nothing seems to work. All I get is a message that reads "file error". I wonder if first, I have to re-load the firmware in order for it to work. Note: The original problem is, Magic 260 crashed on its own. I called my local distributor about hte problem, they replied that I should send it in to Elation for repair, due to toher people that had the same probem I'm having.
Are you on a 32 bit Os computer? or 64 bit?

I am on a 32 bit computer.
If your dealer said to send it back then thats what you should do.
