Making chases in compu show **PLEASE HELP**

How do i make chases using compu show. I cant seem to get the easy step or easy time functions to work, or actually do anything. all i can seem to do is change there fade and hold time. i feel really confused, please someone walk me through how they work so i can start making chases. again this is on Compu Show NOT Compu Live
