I run two cuecables on win 7 64bit on an intel quadcore and one intel dualcore.
Windows update has updated everything, I use latest software and drivers available on elationlighting.com.
I set up all fixtures and program successfully.
Problem is that after 0,5-2 hours dmx output ends.
When pressing "otions/hardware" in the software, I read "this is not an elation cuecable", instead of "cuecable 1.02".
Disconnecting the cuecable from the pc and reconnecting it solves the problem for another 0,5-2 hours.
Same error on two different computers at different locations with different fixtures attached.
I use a dmx split at one of those places and that does not help. Not likely a voltage drop/current overload issue.

uhmm... I didnt plan to go back to the nightclub today or so, would the screendump actually help?
Anyways I only use one cuecable at a time, and it is the cables that came with the emulation software, and they work fine for a while so I think its the right cables, but its hard to tell, its just a cable, no label!
I press "otions/hardware" then if I wait for the error I can see it switches from "cuecable 1.02" to "this is not an elation cuecable".
OK I apreciate your honesty to say that it might be bad cables, I will contact my elation dealer again and try to convince him to try himself, if he has the same problem maybe the whole batch is defect.
I have a theory though, that something in the swedish win 7 causes this, thats the only thing in the setup that is different from "everybody else". Does that sound likely? Not really I guess.
Hmm... I use english win 7 at home, I hate all badly translated software we have in non-english countries. I could try it at home...
Another thing I noticed in emulation is the inability to select the last cue of a cuelist.
That is likely the one you want to load to continue at the end, right?
Problem is when I click the go button and the last cue loads, it also finish soon and then goes back to zero state, ready to play the first cue again.
So how can I load the last cue from a cuelist?
