Platinum Beam 5r Gob Rot1 error | Elation Lighting Forums

Hi y’all!

I am working on some Platinum Beam 5rs, and I am getting an error for Gobo rot 1. Does anyone if that is isolated in the head or on the pcb board?

Also, I can’t get the shutter to open, are these problems related. Just looking for a starting place.

a gobo error can have multiple causes, first check to see if the magnet is present, also check the magnet /sensor orientation as well. also make sure the gobo is in its correct spot. if not successful check continuity from sensor harness to driver. if the problem persists check the PCB. lastly physically check the rotation and make sure the stepper is ok.

regarding shutter, are you able to physically open the shutter (make sure the unit is unplugged) if not then the stepper may have seized
