-PLEASE HELP-Question about DMX Programmer 64ch

You can indeed use any DMX console to control any DMX device. It simply comes down to ease of use (some consoles better at intelligent lighting and others conventional) and number of DMX universes/channels available on your particular console.

To control standard fixtures, you simply need a DMX dimmer pack or rack to plug those lights into.

Thanks so much! You're the best! That's what I thought...Now is there a particular dimmer pack that I would need? What about patching? Since my board is mainly made for programming moving lights, will I need to patch the lights? (They are just cans, not intelligent)

Yeah, the lighting console I bought has 64 DMX channels, (I guess you can have up to 8 intelligent lights and each light can have up to 8 DMX channels?) Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Any DMX pack will work. You will need to address the pack, just like a moving light. Just think of the dimmer pack as a 4 channel moving light in your example, but it each channel is an intensity channel as oppose to different functions.
