I am having issues with my system and I need help. I have compu live 2006 with the 1024EC controlling a Leviton DDS 9800 dimmer pack and 14 AM DJ Par 56 LEDs. It has been worked great for about two months but suddenly all of my light are randomly flickering. This is very random, sometimes within seconds and sometimes within hours. It works fine when in stand alone mode. I only have the problem when in PC mode. The 800 number for tech support goes directly to a fax machine. I cant get anyone on the phone to help.

By the way, I have tried reinstalling the software. I have also disconnected all of the my lights and dmx splitter and reconnected only the dimmer pack and still have the problem when connected to the PC. I have replaced all cables and connectors including the USB cable going to the PC. I have even installed the software on a second PC and still have the same issue. I also rolled the PC back to a previous date just in case it was a Microsoft patch that broke the application.
I have the DDS 9800 with the DMX ports. I was also using a USB splitter but took it out of the loop to troubleshoot. My original config went from my controller to my four way dmx splitter with termination activated. I went from there to three runs with up to 6 par 56 leds on stage and the fourth run to the DDS 9800 controlling all of my house lights. I got in touch with tech support and they said there is a problem with the software code. A new release is schedule out sometime next week.
verchern,

quick question.. when you use in stand alone mode, are you telling me you programmed scenes into and loaded them into the USB box. and when you use this mode it works fine?

And in PC mode are you refering to the compu live software or the easy stand alone software?

Please help me out on the differences between PC mode and stand alone mode?

Also, are you connecting the LED PARS into the dimmers?

If you are, remove the dimmers altogher and plug the dmx right into the pars.
Yes. If I am using the USB box with programmed scenes, it works fine.
If I am using the easy stand alone program on the PC, I have issues.
The LEDs are NOT plugged into the dimmer. The dimmer runs all of the house incandescent lights only. The LEDs are powered from straight 120v circuits (no dimmers) with DMX control.

According to Tech support, the new software dated 12-21-07 on your web site should fix this issue. I downloaded it today and will let you know.
