has anyone tried using some sort of DMX splitter or isolater??? I would think this would affect the clock, since it seems to be pretty well unanimous that these fixtures aren't clocking correctly

by the way, it works just fine in non-RGB mode (static/pattern/chase) you just cannot dim Confused

of coarse, it also works fine, in all modes, with a Chauvet Stage Designer Roll Eyes
if I just use the static colors or preset programs for color change or chase, they appear to work fine, no flicker that I've noticed, but you cannot dim a static color, you need RGB mode for that (I took the Colorstrip-RGB fixture profile and editted it to a Colorstrip-Static profile)

I could really care less about RGB mixing, in any fixture, but in this case, it's the only way to not have the color on full-blast

so if it's a clocking issue, I wondered if anyone had tried a splitter or isolater as I would think a device like these would generate it's own clock-out

is there a list, somewhere, of incompatible fixtures, so I know in the future what to steer clear of???
I built a profile that treats them like moving head fixtures...it's a little over-bulked with useless junk like movement patterns and the x/y placement stuff, but the colors work and it runs one of the chases just fine. It's a shame, though. The LEDrains work quite well, so I don't know why they screwed up so bad with the colorstrips. If you're looking at getting some I'd suggest the American DJ strips...they run a little more, but that's what ebay is for. They work great though.
