I am programming cue chases. Here is my process, and a scenario.
Patch: 6 dimmer packs, 1 fog machine.

1. Select the dimmer pack's sub fixtures.
2. Set the Dimmer to 100%.
3. Press Record
4. Select the play button that corresponds to the cue I am programming to store the setting
5. Press Clear
6. Choose the next set of fixtures
7. Repeat...

Issue 1..
Step 1 of the cue does as I programmed it to do. But the dimmer pack stays at 100% the entire cue. It never fades out. Step two will fade in, then step 3 will fade in, then step 4 etc... but before each step fades out the entire cue must be executed. On the last step of the cue, step 2,3,4 etc...will fade out all together.

What i am trying to accomplish is having each step executed in a linear manner versus a cumulative manner. For example, step 1 is red, step two is green, step 3 is blue. I am trying to go only red on, only green on, only blue on, repeat.

Issue 2...
Fog machine dmx address 025, I checked the dip switch settings at least 10 times. That is not the issue.
The fog global does not trigger the fog machine. Using the dmx monitor, I notice the address corresponding to the fog machine goes from 0 to 255 each time i press the fog button as expected. As a test, I hooked the fog machine up to my previous light controller and tested it on the same address. It works perfectly. Any Ideas?

Hi Red house. Welcome to the forums.
As far as your 1st issue. Are you editing the fade and delay times in the cue list editor? Do you know how to get to the cue list editor?

The fog machine. What profile did you use to patch the fogger into the program? In order for the global function to work it has to be patched in from a fog or haze machine profile as the program looks for certain channel attributes in the profile to link it to the global function.
Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
