Speed function on hot keys

So I have "switches" that have dimmer chases/shutter chases.....I have assigned speed function to midi control fader. Works fine if I select switch using mouse and curser, however; when I select switch using hot keys, I no longer have control of speed using midi fader. ??????

Thanks for all the info. I'm sure this will all come together and I'll be super stoked.

I'll do my best to confirm this sometime this weekend on my system. but you may have to remind me on monday. Also you could use the first few values of the 0-127 velocity to trigger that switch and the rest of the fader vales to adjust speed. Which speed knob do you have assigned to the midi fader? The one on the actual button or the one in the page tab? It should work regardless if you have the midi fader assigned to the general speed knob in the page tab.
