Please pardon me if this has been explained previously. I couldn't seem to find a clear/concise step by step on transferring custom shows.

...Just getting my ducks in a row ahead of time.

I designed a show in compulive which I'm going to need to transfer to a music venue's pc (also running compulive). I saved the .ssh file as well as the 3D file. Do I need to also save/transfer the individual custom fixture profiles as well, or do they transfer automatically with the show file?
If I do need to move them, should I transfer those fixture profiles to the new computer's Compulive Scan Library folder, or can I simply tell compulive where the correct profiles are, for example, in a folder on the desktop?

Thanks!

Also, I recently upgraded to the most recent version of compulive (Dec 12, 2010), and now when I go to save the show, it doesn't save...
I tried to put .ssh after the file name, reset the software several times, but still nothing...
In fact, I saved over the existing file on my desktop and the the file disappeared.
???
I can't lose this show! I've got hours upon hours into this thing!
Well, like I said before, my version of Compu Live erased my .ssh show file.
I went to save the show, and I chose to overwrite the existing show file, when I did the icon disappeared, and now it's just...gone.
...and it won't let me save no matter what.

I have no idea what to do buddy.

It would stand to reason that there is a version of it somewhere, because when I start the software it comes up. I just don't have a physical saved copy anymore.
It worked! For all that is holy it worked!
...and the peasants rejoice!

I upgraded to the latest version of CompuLive you linked me to, when I opened the latest upgrade I simply opened a new show file, then opened the archive file I had saved in my show folder.
Everything was restored except:

Favorites (custom window layout)
Scene/Switch/Cycle compression.

For future reference to other customers, an archive (.spa file) will recall your master page, fixture pages, scenes, cycles, and switches just like a show file.

You'll still need any custom fixture profiles not found in the scan library, as well as a .3d file for the visualizer if you have a custom visual show.

I want to thank you again James for all your help.
Once this installation is done next week I'll be sure to post pictures.

Thanks!
