3 weeks and still no solution to this problem is really unacceptable. I have 3 more weeks to be ready for a pretty substancial show and have to be able to practice and program shows with this system. I am sorry to be a pain in the ass but I am desperate to get Emulation working.
Thanks
Dave
Happy to say that an Elation developer called me from Amsterdam. We are working on a solution to my driver and cue cable issue. Super nice guy and was as helpfull as could be. It seems as if I managed to find a new hurdle for the R&D dept.
Thanks for the help guys!

James,Marteen,
I apologize, but I couldn't wait any longer. I went ahead and purchased windows 7 for this PC and reinstalled everything again. It fixed the problem. I have the Cue cable up and running. I ordered a new Mac Power Book also so I have both platforms.
Thanks again for the help big time! I know this was frustrating. Hope you can figure this one out though so you might be able to help someone with Vista if they have a similar problem in the future.
Dave :-)

bad os files...? LOL
I had that happend to me not with emulator, it was my DJ program. some dlls files were corrupt during the installation.
thats why we should always back up before installing or update programs... but who does?
