I have two of my Design Spot 250s in which the focus lens assembly has some delamination which is causing loss in brightness and a yellow tint to the light output. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it common or is there something I can do to prevent it? These are former rentals so Im sure they have thousands of hours on them but just trying to get an idea how long new one will last me!

hello, the focus lens are basically 2 lenses in one. the epoxy used to bond them did have a shelf life of up to 4 years. at the time this was the best available. since then new and improved adhesives are used. the DS 250 where discontinued almost 4 years ago so im sure the units in question probably have been in service longer than 5 years. once again please keep in mind that time vs lamp hours will determine wear. the new lenses (#07k5-tjjt) do use a state of the art adhesive which have a longer life. hope this helps.
