I have made a new Section in the DMX controllers section for Compu Show. Check it out in the main forum page.

is there a prize for the SECOND official support request for compu show? i'm just having a little trouble with the interface. is there a way to bring back the default pages that open when you run the program for the first time? i seem to have lost the original layout...
If you go to the controller tab and click on the external windows button. At the bottom of that list there us a reset windows to tabs. Click that.

ok. i have a question. i have a setup with one pair each of: P36 LED, Fusion FX Bar2, Fusion FX Bar 3, Quad Gem and a pair of Venue Lasers (but there is no profile for these lasers so i used a generic pair and for reference it seems to work just fine). when i patched all of the fixtures, i selected to Show Beams but i can only see the beams for the P36's and the generic lasers. i can see the colors on the other fixtures but no beams. i am at home in demo mode as the dongle is attached to the system at my rehearsal room. does this matter? or am i doing something wrong?
thank you,
gray
PS i will be adding an ADJ Dekker but i believe you are sending that profile to an associate of mine and i will get that from him

i wanted to add that the Show the Light Beam in the Beam tab doesn't help with the above issue. also, i added the Dekker and it shows up as a page in Compu Show but doesnt appear in the 3D Visualizer even though it's in the scan library
Hey sorry for the late reply. Most likely there
Is no shutter open or close assigned to the fixture that are not coming on. On the pages is there a black and white circle icon for shutter open or close?
Also the 3D might not be getting the patch from the program. I'll have to look into that and post pics.
You do know you will not be able to visualize lasers in this 3D? It's not possible to render it on our magic 3D easy view 3D program. Sorry.

What's the difference between the compu Software and Emulation?
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!
Hey JTL. Welcome to the forums. In a word: Lots.
Compu can handle multiple DMX universes while emulation only handles one. Compu has a effects generator to handle LED matrix's. Emulation does not. They are two entirely different DMX programs. Your best bet is to play around with both of them and see which one comes easiest to you. Each one has their pro's and con's. I could type up a long post about the differences between the two but like I said the best way to get a feel for both of the programs is to download them and try it. Compu is a windows only software. Emulation has version for Mac, Windows, and Linux.
Let me know if you have any specific questions about either program.
