Design 36 LED

Rain, That's good to hear.. All is good in stock.
But I haven't seen the order come in yet, so i'll keep a look out for it.

What will you be using them for?

i can answer this for rain. he has two churches that these are going into. im even helping him get the 3D vis. stuff ready for one church that is getting Compu Live!

Yea, going in two diff. churches. (order will be for Magnolia Music Center - Gulfport, MS) We are new so I'm sure we have to pay for it all up front a few times before we get "terms".

8 DLED 36, 2 DLED MH, and 2 Design Spot 250 fixtures go to one church.
10 DLED 36, and 2 Design Spot 250 fixtures go to another church.
Both will go Compu Live for control. (and yes, James has laid out one 3D for me and might be working on the 2nd one soon)
Plan on having both installed and trained by Easter.
We've taken a deposit on the 2nd one as of yesterday.
(but today was our day to get tax info on all three of our stores to the accountant - so might be later in the week before we get the order placed)

The first church has been shopping online and claims he is getting the Elation lighting below MAP on every fixture. SO Friday I meet with him to convince him to pay a bit more by going thru me. (added service from going thru our retail store as opposed to mail order)

also tell him he could risk not getting a warranty if he does not get a new fixture! any fixture that could be listed below map could be a restocked item or a refurbished unit and im not too sure if the warranty's are till good at that point aor could be only for a short time. sincerely,

and yes I will start on the second 3D stage in a few days prob. I got the weekend off so I will prob use that to catch up on some work for compu. Sincerely, James.

Seems this being our first order, Elation wants a Money Order. So Tony plans on hitting the bank on Monday and getting that mailed off. Alas, these lights need to be installed the week of the 24th. (10 DLED36, 2 Dspot250)
Not a large order - sure you have those in stock and ready to ship.

Quick question - Were yall off work today? Tony called a few times this morning to place the order and pay for it by credit card. Our message was left but no one returned the call.
(banks were closed so could not get the required money order- sigh)

I've GOT to have these lights for next week - EEEEK!

We overnighted the money order and will just keep our fingers crossed that these lights will arrive while the lifts are in the church.

I'll also be placing an order for another pair of Design250 and 10 more DLED 36 fixtures within a day or two.(FYI)

And next week we will be ordering some AMdj LED pars and a DMX controller (the one that looks like a typewriter with scroll wheels on it).

lol the magic 260? will be a good console and is just like programming on a SD3. and A SD3 is not too bad from the lil expierence i got with it.

I despise the Magic 260. Its a pain to program on, and when you want to edit a scene, you have to rerecord it, wiping out the name which took forever to enter in the first place. An SD3 can also run many scenes or shows at once, Magic is only one at a time. Makes it very annoying when using things like movers, LEDs, and conventionals at the same time. Everything effects everything else. Its great for things like LED only or mover only shows, but any more then that and its a pain. The other huge issue I have with it is the fade time and hold time faders scale differently, so you have to watch the numbers on the screen to set custom chase times. I would advise going for the SD1 for a few bucks more over the Magic.

Yes.. the Magic is a very basic controller.. its perfect for a set of the same lights.. but when you start adding more gear, it gets a little frustrating..

i still prefer my compu live controller anyways. faster and simpler to me by now. lol. sincerely,

Our rep, Jeff Mathis, suggested that controller.
The lights will be 8 Par64 LED PRO and 4 American PAR56 (with a DP20L dimmer pack).

Most church will do is change colors on the LED and dim the PAR56 fixtures.

True that the Magic 260 will run both kinds of lights?

For a system like that, the Magic will be just fine. Its when you start adding more fixture types to the Magic that its weaknesses come out, and in a very big way. If they wanted to add movers with the LEDs, you will run into headaches then.

very true don't worry. There is a master fader for the dimmer pack and the LEDs will have no prob on the console. Rain if I knew something wouldn't work I would tell u.

I was wondering if I am going to be getting replacement chips. I thought I would but as of now have not received any? I sent all my info.

We did another modification to them, so I postponed them to get you the best chip.
We are now adding Rosco Colors to the Color macro channel instead of just rainbow.

So, I figured it be worth the wait.

I am wondering if i can get a demo of the design 108. Is it goung to be ip65? any photos? MSRP. I would like to get my hands on a unit soon if possible.

PU yes it has an IP65 rating. have you looked at the product page lately? there is a pic and it has all the specs for it, but no manual yet.

I received the chips and installed one today. The Pre program fx are much better. How do I use the color macro channel the get Rosco colors as mentioned? Also FYI the seven channel trait sheet is up on the web and is there a new manual update?
